Finally! An event in Nor-Cal!

Preston 12-17-2012 10:11 AM

No Texas stop this year? Lame!!!

simplej 12-17-2012 12:24 PM

A New England stop would be nice... For once... Or EVER

FunkyBunch 12-17-2012 1:46 PM

Texas stop is normally the weekend of Memorial Day which is skipped in the listing above would be the 25th and 26th of May.

hayes 12-17-2012 2:36 PM

No Knoxville, TN??

juniorhawk 12-17-2012 6:36 PM

The lack of a New England stop is inexcusable at this point in my opinion.
Same sh*t, different year, yawn.

detonate69 12-17-2012 7:12 PM

Same here.

wspeedin 12-18-2012 10:16 AM

The Texas stop has been removed and replaced with the NC stop. Thank the powers that be!

Andrew14 12-18-2012 10:24 AM

+1 for the Lake Norman, NC date. Does anyone know where on the lake (what venue/area) they will be holding the Lake Norman, NC tournament stop on?

behindtheboat 12-18-2012 11:31 AM

Very odd that there is no Texas stop. One of the most major wake markets if not the actual largest, held at a dealership's lake that guaranteed good conditions no matter the wind/weather, and a major airport 20 min away.

wspeedin 12-18-2012 11:32 AM

Yeah the Norman event will be where WaveNoize Wake Series was held. Its around the 500 block of Cornelius Rd.

This is the site outlined in RED and course penciled in red. The other red line on the water is where a boat line will be made to not allow pass through by bass boats.

Andrew14 12-18-2012 2:36 PM

Will - awesome, thank you for the detail and map. Doesn't look like we'll be able to get a good view by boat since they are blocking it off. Maybe driving there and watching it from the shore will be the way to go.

wspeedin 12-19-2012 5:38 AM

Im sure that they will do a boat lineup within the site. There is a ton of room to do a boat line, Im just sure they will block the area to keep fisherman out but allow wakeboats to setup before the riding happens. I have ridden in this cover plenty of times and watched from the shoreline and all of it has great views as well as some good tree coverage for shade.

Andrew14 12-19-2012 11:25 AM

Okay, thanks Will - sounds good. My crew was kind of bummed when we thought we might not be able to go by way of boat, but good to hear we'll probably be able to view it from the water.

wspeedin 12-19-2012 11:27 AM

What kind of boat do you and your crew ride behind? do yall go out on norman often?

Andrew14 12-19-2012 11:41 AM

Including myself, there are four of us in my crew and we live on Mountain Island lake (small lake below Norman). We have a 2008 SANTE 210 (my boat), 2008 SANTE 230, 2006 SANTE 210 and a 2007 Malibu VTX in our rotation. We all suck, but we have a lot of fun. We mainly ride Mountain Island Lake, but I trailer my boat to Norman every now and then. Do you typically ride Norman?

Picture doesn't look like theres gonna be a ton of room for people to watch. HMMMM I am far more interested in riding up and hanging out in the water

durty_curt 12-19-2012 12:43 PM

Sad... Another year not stop in AZ. Actually last time they had a stop in AZ it was hot and horrible...

wspeedin 12-20-2012 5:11 AM

Andrew, yeah, I normally put my boat in at Queens Landing up off Hwy 150 and we go ride around the north side of the lake. We used to go out on Mountain Island but havent been since 2010. That boat line up reminds me of some of my buddies, I bet that they are some that go out with you....maybe. If I can ever get my boat back together I will probably do some rriding on Mountain Island but the wife loves Norman because of the bars and other shore activities.

William, I have personally been to the site and there is a ton of room for spectators from shore but there is also a ton of room to view from boat. Look forward to seeing yall there!

Yeah or even something within 700 miles! The KOW facebook page once had a poll question about where the next tour stop should be. I got a ton of my friends to vote for Meredith, NH. I'm pretty sure some intern got fired over that one.
