Fly High X-2 Ballast Bags

I'm putting the fly high system in my 2008 X-2. I've got the MCX engine in there, and the boat has always pulled and gotten up on plane quickly with the factory 550 + a #600 that put in the bow walk through.

We're gonna plumb the bags into the existing overflow of the hard tanks, however I was recommended by wakemakers to put the 750lb bags in the back lockers instead of the custom X-2 bags which are 455lb because of cost savings as well as additional weight.

Is anyone running this setup, how do the bags fit back there and hows the boat getting on plane?

I don't see how you can fit 750's in the back of a X-2. The ones the fly high kit come with take up almost all the room in the locker when full. I still have my stock prop and run the fly high kit and an extra 250 in the walkway towards the nose and I have not gotten any complaints. The most I have added to the fly high was the triangle bow 1100# sac and with that you could not have more than 3 people in the boat or it would not plane. If you are really lookign to slam it the first thing I would recommend getting is a new prop.

I just completed testing 5 props in a single afternoon on my X-2 with full factory ballast, fly high ballast, and 200 lbs from my weight set, a full tank of fuel, and my 230 lbs. I'll post the data soon, but I was not expecting the results. Over the next few weekends I'll be asking riders to rate the props from behind the boat - without knowing what prop is on the boat. I believe that the results will be unexpected to most people.

One example of unexpected results - the best surfing prop (by numbers, only) was the same prop that produced slalom skiing and barefooting results. We tried the prop surfing over the weekend, and it really performed well (nice shape, push, and size). I have not compared it to the other props, yet.

My regular prop, that is an all-around good wakeboarding prop is the Acme 1285. Still, highly recommended for most MC wakeboarding applications.
