I picked up a set of 3/2/1's today. I thought the Scimitar's were wild, these things have a three stage cant! <IMG SRC="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/clipart/happy.gif" ALT=":-)" BORDER=0> <BR> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/559019/644785.jpg" alt="Upload"> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/559019/644786.jpg" alt="Upload">

These were some interesting fins. They develop a ton of drive, but it seemed ONLY when you were pushing the fins. This is James pumping into the flats and then crankin' off a huge hack. <BR> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/559019/645145.jpg" alt="Upload"> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/559019/645146.jpg" alt="Upload"> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/559019/645147.jpg" alt="Upload"> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/559019/645148.jpg" alt="Upload"> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/559019/645149.jpg" alt="Upload">

How do they compare to the Simitars? I love my Scimitars but I'm always open to try new things.

A few more pictures and I'll respond to your Q Hate N Pain. The first a bottom turn into a 3 and then another bottom turn into a hack where the board is virtually vertical and parallel to the transom. <BR> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/559019/645394.jpg" alt="Upload"> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/559019/645395.jpg" alt="Upload"> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/559019/645396.jpg" alt="Upload"> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/559019/645397.jpg" alt="Upload"> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/559019/645398.jpg" alt="Upload"> <BR> <BR> <BR>I just find the orientation of this, where James is bashing off the lip, impressive AFTER the bottom turn. <BR> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/559019/645399.jpg" alt="Upload"> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/559019/645400.jpg" alt="Upload">

The Scimitars are a smoother riding fin. As you know, they curve every-which-way. <IMG SRC="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/clipart/happy.gif" ALT=":-)" BORDER=0> The constant curve curve seems to be what makes them smooth. According to Futures, they have an increasing cant from 6, to 9, to 18 degrees. <BR> <BR>The 3/2/1 hve this same increasing cant angle, but the angles are 6 to 9 to 11...so that final angle is "somewhat" more upright - if you can call 11 degrees upright. <BR> <BR>The cants, though, are straight. This crude drawing shows what the cant looks like between the two fins. <BR> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/559019/645403.jpg" alt="Upload">

As you might imagine, rolling over onto the rail with the Scimitars seems to provide very smooth drive. Whereas, the 3/2/1 have a feeling of abrupt drive of squirt. As James would load the rail, it would literally project him out of the turn...some of this, but I don't know how much, is part of the perimeter stringers on that board. <BR> <BR>Just trimming though, the 3/2/1 seemed sluggish, as if they introduced more drag in comparison to the Scim's. <BR> <BR>I liked them and James really liked how they affected his projection out of turns.

Bad ass wave! It must be from a Sanger.<img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/clipart/happy.gif" border=0> <BR> <BR>Thanks for the explanation Jeff.

Could you tell that was a Sanger just from the pictures, or did you surmize it from seeing Dennis? Too funny. <BR> <BR>Dennis sent me this picture from that same session, his daughter Bre took this and she was sitting, I believe, towards the back to the left of Dennis. <BR> <BR>That is behind Dennis' Sanger - I think it's a 215 I just can't keep up on all the boats brands and models. <BR> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/559019/645954.jpg" alt="Upload">

No I knew it was a Sanger because Dennis had sent mentioned it in an emial plus I could tell by the flame stitching in the transom pad. Yeah that pictureis killer it needs to be on the TWP website and maybe Sangers.
