Wakeboard repair
 

So finally getting a chance to hit sliders with my new board and really screwed it up. Sliding a fun box and a few screw heads were sticking up and tore the **** out of my board. Cause I'm a broke ass I need to fix my board. Can anybody help what steps to take?

Make sure you seal it up!

Epoxy works well. A nice 2 part should do the trick. Just make sure the board is dry and that you get some thing you can sand to blend it back in.

I just epoxied up a core gouge in a Slingshot board with some standard hardware store 5 minute epoxy, rode it hard for about an hour, and its all still sealed and looking perfect.

I sealed my GF's Grindbase Melissa, didn't seal all the way, after her 3rd fall she said her board was just so heavy. Board is full of water now.

I have sealed my SS twice, and will slap a 3rd coat on before I take it out

i think JBWeld is similar to marine tex, maybe a little cheaper, I used it for small nicks in my board

The worst part is I blew an edge out that's not even in the pics...

Second for Marine Tex. Make sure you do not get the fast cure, as it will set up too fast. Put a piece of plastic wrap or wax paper over it and smooth it out with a credit card before it sets up, then just leave the plastic there until filler has set. It will peel right off, it will be smooth, and you'll have less sanding to do. I've also heard JB Weld is good, but have not tried it myself. I've used Marine Tex a lot, never had one fail. My wife is still riding on a Marine Tex repair that I did about 8 years ago to her Blindside Five-O.

You can use Solarez (Epoxy). Dries in less than 10 mins in the sun. Here is a job I did on an Inland Surfer Wakesurf Board
