If so do you like this lens and recommend it? Or would you go with the 50mm 1.4?

Lookin to get some new glass..

Walt 11-06-2008 3:25 PM

Got it and love it. Need a fisheye ? I'm going to sell mine.

steezyshots 11-06-2008 3:53 PM

What fisheye do you have? I have been looking for something new and fun!

Walt 11-06-2008 3:57 PM

Canon 15mm 2.8

dmonte3283 11-06-2008 4:14 PM

Walt, what will you replace that fisheye with?

Walt 11-06-2008 4:18 PM

A new rifle or I'll put it towards a 40D/50D.

I just don't use it that much and it seems like a waste to have it just sitting around.

steezyshots 11-06-2008 6:18 PM

How Much? I have been eyeballing that one!

wakedad33 11-06-2008 6:23 PM

Walt, if Riley dosen't want it send me a PM with price.

steezyshots 11-06-2008 6:33 PM

Walt bring it with you to the thanksgiving parade at berryessa.

Randy you're comin there too right? Is Alex coming? I am going to be shooting some legion riders for the new hyperlite website for their profiles. If you guys are going to be there we'll have to meet up and shoot.

wakedad33 11-06-2008 6:53 PM

Riley, working on it.

Walt 11-06-2008 7:08 PM

I'll bring it with me and you guys can check it out. It's missing the Af/M focus button but I'll see if I can get it replaced before then.

dakid 11-06-2008 7:59 PM

riley, have you looked into the sigma 8mm? i hear they're money. (don't mean to jack up your sale, walt)

Walt 11-06-2008 8:02 PM

No worries Joe.

antbug 11-06-2008 8:59 PM

Riley, What body are you using? I had the 2.8 15mm and traded up to the 3.5 8mm. On my 20d body it's way better. If you're on a FF body I'd go with the 15mm.

I got some sick pics with the fishy in Hawaii.
When I get back I'll post some up.

Oh the 17-40 f4 is great for a walk around lens. I use it all the time and would never get rid of it. The 50mm will limit you a lot. Do you have the 50mm 1.8? If not, very cheap and awesome lens.

steezyshots 11-07-2008 2:27 PM

Yeah Joe I have shot with the Sigma 8 and I loved it but with my housing it is too much I can see the inside of the port. I would like to see what the canon looks like inside the housing.

Walt 11-07-2008 4:22 PM

I doubt the 15mm will work with your set up Riley. It has the permanent lens hood on it and that will hit the lens port.

wakeboardertj 11-08-2008 2:40 PM

i have the 17-40, its a really nice lens, super sharp and great for landscape. IMO its not quite a walk around lens, but definitely nice to have in your arsenal.

clubmyke 11-08-2008 6:01 PM

i had a 17-40 and it was a little short as a walk around lens (though it is great for landscape shooting) and is a stupid good deal at $600 new.

it was replaced my the 24-70 f2.8...a lot more $$$ but worth it.

steezyshots 11-09-2008 11:45 AM

Yeah i have room in there for the lens hood because it was built around my 10-22 and that is much bigger than the 15mm. I am just worried that i still might see inside of the port. I also think a 17 -40 will fit in the housing just wondering if it will be a good focal length inside the housing.

dirwoody 11-09-2008 3:53 PM

Walt, I'd also be very interested in your Fisheye. Let me know if things don's work out with the other guys

Walt 11-10-2008 4:11 PM

Will do Darin.

dirwoody 11-12-2008 1:46 PM

Thanks Walt
