I want to get into wakesurfing but have no idea where to start as far as boards go....I'm 205 lbs and will be surfing behind my '08 VTX with stock ballast(For now).....I would like a board that everyone(All beginners) can ride.....It's also a bonus if the board fits in my stock (Metcraft??) racks.....I thought asking experienced riders would save me some headaches and cash!........I'm trying to avoid buying 2 or 3 boards (couple hundred a pop) while deciding which board is the best fit for our family and friends.

ok, buy an old longboard surfboard, and learn how to surf on that. then, you are going to have to demo to get a shortboard that you like and you feel comfortable with.

only bigger thin board i know of is the hyperlite broadcast 5'6". Good beginner learner board but as you progress you will outgrow it. Most higher quality boards use a surfboard construction which means they will be to thick for the racks. The broadcast is built in a press like a wakeboard thats why its thinner and cheaper.

The CWB Ride is a good beginner board, Easy to get up on, fairley large and You will be able to ride it ropeless, it's just slow and you will progress away from it quickly. I have 1 in my garage, never take it out any more. I would sell it to ya cheap, but shipping to Canada is a pain in the u know what, especially somethin that big.
