I'm no expert, but I can tell you that was the first roll I landed. Looks like you just about have it. My trick is basically ride into the wake like you are. I like to get more speed up, helps to get more height. When you get to the wake don't jump, roll your head across your body and over your left shoulder like you are looking behind you and ride through the wake don't absorbe it with your legs. Your body will follow your head movement. Keep your hands at your waist or mid section, helps with your balance on landing. When you come arround spot your landing and make any adjustments to do so. Keep trying, looks like you will be landing it soon.

you want to stand tall push hips forward and push chest up like you're jumping on a trampoline.like cade said the way you move your head and look will set your rotation.concentrate on the edge thru the wake . that will give you more height.

Thanks for the tips. Also im riding at 65 ft and 20 mph is that to short of a rope?

I learned them at that same length. I had the same problem but I started to go more toward an actual backroll and that was much more comfortable to me. It's all in the timing and how much you pop off the wake. Try and get as much height as you can.

You are throwing the trick WAY to early. Edge progressively all the way through the top of the wake and extend those knees before you start the rotation. You really need to focus on waiting for the pop.... I've done the same thing with my reg. backrolls and this solves the issue everytime. This will also help big time with the pop/height problems.

Do what you want as far as rope speed but in my opinion anything less than 70 at 22mph doesn't make much sense... Maybe thats just me.

hahah it makes sense to someone when their wake rolls at 65'... I added ballast, fixed that problem hahah

Your cut does not look progressive enough. IMHO drop the rope to 70ft, take a much more progressive cut (putting a lot of stank on the end of the cut for good pop) and like Luker says...stand tall extending those knees and take the rotation UP rather than around.

Dude the biggest mistake I see is that you are throwing the trick off of the wake, losing all your pop. First take the trick UP, then over. The line tension is what will flip you, not the wake.

65 is fine . . . even 60 at 22 will work well to learn them. Just make sure you take a progressive approach to the wake and wait for the pop.
