I have two guys that I ride with who have both been using the same board which is 141cms in length. One dude is about 220lbs and the other is quite a bit less at around 170lbs. They both do ok on the 141 but are now thinking about getting their own boards. What advantages if any would there be in the lightweight dude going for a shorter board say around 138cm??? <BR>cheers

I would say that the 138 would be reasonable. I wouldn't have them get anything smaller then that though. I rode a board that was too small for me and I thought it was ok. Then rode a board more my size and there was a big difference. I have a 138 now and I weigh 175. Hope that might help!
