I have the 10-22 zoom wide lens and works very well with my 20D. When you are at 10mm, the photo gets distorted at the top corners. Kinda like a slight fish-eye effect.

This lens is the "EF-S" version which means it will only work on the 20D and rebel series. So, if you plan to go Full Frame, like 5D, it will not fit.

But overall, this lens is superb, sharp pictures, great wide coverage and light.

Read the review of this lens at
http://www.fredmiranda.com/reviews/showproduct.php?product=221&sort=7&cat=27& amp;page=3

Check out the Canon 10-22 and the Sigma 12-24.

i would recommend the 17-40L, its an incredible lense and has gotten very high ratings. check www.fredmiranda.com for good reviews and ratings of all lenses

I use the Canon 10-22mm

Here are some shots from yesterday out on Lake Medina. The Canon EF 16-35 f/2.8L USM is a great lens too.

Anyone have a Tamron 11 - 18.

wakeboardertj 11-29-2006 7:43 PM

i just looked through my 17-40L on a full frame camera, all i have to say is WOW, i had no idea how wide angle it was when not on a 1.4crop camera body. i love this lense even more now!

scott_a 11-29-2006 8:08 PM

yep. 1.6x crop bodies really cut a lot out of wide angles...Hell, even going from 1.6x to 1.3x was a huge difference.

clubmyke 12-03-2006 9:01 AM

i have a 17-40 on a 30d... i wish i could get more...

has anyone tried the tamron 11-18 or have any other suggestions ?

sixeye 12-03-2006 5:43 PM

wakeboardertj 12-04-2006 2:00 PM

tdeneka 12-04-2006 2:28 PM

Nope,

All D Rebels, 10D, 20D, and 30D are 1.6
1D MkII, 1DMkIIN are 1.3
1Ds, 1Ds MkII and 5D are full frame
