besides the obvious, what is the difference in a pointed tipped and a squared tipped kneeboard?

More control while on edge. Feels faster due to the crisp finish on the water.

For a Kaos: www.boarditup.com

You'll get more pop off of the wake with a square tipped board due to the greater surface area. A pointed tip board will generally carve a little easier.

I perfer pointed tip.It has less control but is good for cutting into wakes and may not break on impact.

Bubba, the square tip helps the board ride better in both directions (bi-directional). The board pops better for wake tricks when you initiate the trick riding backwards. Tricks like a wake back to front, wake back to back 360, wake back to front 540 etc.

But,the pointed tips are better for your forward jumps.They give it a little less pop,but are good.I use a Hydroslide Cyclone,a plastic one,and it gives me plenty of air,just gotta land it^^}
