i was wondering if anybody knew what was underneath the back seat. Its fiberglass. It sounds hollow. Is there any wires? will i lose structual integrity? i want to put a ballast bag in there so i can free up room in my boat.

i have seen in the 01 boats that is where the onboard ballast tanks are.

thanks,
danny

If I remember correctly from past posts a couple of years ago, the ballast system under the seat split a few upper hulls from the expanding water as the sack filled. Maybe that is why this area is no longer used for this purpose.

If I am not mistaken, I believe that the fuel tank is located under the back seat.

Hmmm...I dont know about cutting a boat up. Engineers made it that way for a reason. Thats just my opinion.

Pierce have you ever heard of "customizing" , people cut things up all the time, you just need to be careful what and where you cut
