I just got my brand new Super Air 220, and I just want to make sure that my stereo is tuned properly... Does anyone know the best way to tune the amplifiers/head unit for the best sound on that particular stereo?

With the amp gains all the way down, play a cd and turn up the head unit volume till it starts to distort, then back off just a bit. This will be the "full" volume setting that you won't go above. This is usualy around 75% volume on the head unit. Next, turn the head unit all the way up to you're "full" volume setting previously determined, then turn the amp gains up until you hear distortion again, then back off a bit. In a nutshell, this is basic tuning of a system...

(Message edited by wake upppp on May 29, 2007)
