I'm thinking of getting the infinity 6000m's for my SAN. Does anyone have any experience with these speakers (clarity, construction, etc)?

http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_7142_Infinity+6000M.html#

I've had them for several years. Construction is good, and they've held up well. I think they sound pretty good (a friend bought a pair after hearing mine), and they're way loud enough for the rider to hear well. The mounts aren't stylish, but they do the job.

Does anyone know if these boxes can be take apart where the speakers can be switched with other 6.5" speakers?

why would you want to?

the enclosures they have are moulded to the correct volume of the drivers. They are in the correct air space to work well in that application. Replacing the drivers will porbably hinder performance, unless the replacement drivers will work well in the same size.

Can you hear either of these while riding ?

I had these on my V215 and hated them! They weren't loud enough to hear while boarding and on top of it all they look terrible. I always felt like I was rolling with the Toys-R-Us speakers on my boat. I have the Wetsound Pro 80's now and they are 3x as loud.
