Weed control help

I've searched for a while this morning, still can't find it. Maybe you guys remember.

I while ago someone posted a link to what looked like an enclosed under water fan. You sunk a post off your pier and attached the "fan". It was supposed to circulate the water, or blast sediment away, taking the weeds with it.

Does anyone remember this thing?

Does anyone know of a better way to get rid of weeds around your pier? I'm closing on my first lake property today. (super excited!!!) It looks like they haven't used the pier in 20 years. It's definitely going to take some work to get it ready for next season.

I was talking to someone this weekend who used something similar to this one, but paid $150. This one looks like it should do the trick.;)

I have seen marinas use these not only for ice but to clear weeds.

Just get an extension for a high presure washer & a turbo type head attachment.

WeedRoller works very well. There are also chemicals you can buy. The cheap, but not safest way, is to tie up your boat snugly and put it into reverse gear. Very effective, but again, make sure the boat is tied up tight.

FYI, for any weed removal, you may need a permit.
