Just wanted to share a solution for those of you with cracked towers. On my old school X-Star zero flex tower, I got the dreaded cracks after a couple summers of riding. $200 later, the aluminum fab shop had it fixed. You can see where the crack was welded, then they welded in these gussets. Both sided of the tower were cracked in the same spot.

Looks like they did a nice job.

Where is the shop located that did the work?

Nice work. Whoever did that knows how to weld anodized aluminum...which isn't easy. I'm curious if the gusset solves the problem with that tower.

Let us know how that holds up.

Here's the place that did the job in Pensacola, FL.

http://www.bluecoraltowers.com/

Nice folks and great work IMHO. They mostly do towers for the offshore fishing crowd.

The repair has done at the beginning of last summer and has held up fine. Since then, I've tried to avoid very off axis starts with the rider off to the side of the extended 6 of the boat.

Ummmm
I've never had that problem....
