Yet another board question...

I have an older board (Krown Flake) and I'm not getting enough pop. In addition, my wake is nothing to brag about (its not a wakeboat). In your opinion, what board(s) will get me the biggest pop? I weight about 150-155.

Based on previous threads... I'm thinking about a 2005 CWB Absolute 141. Whats the difference between the Platinum?

Thanks!
DanZ

The platinum has stringers in the core and i believe is lighter.

A 141 would be a little big for you! The 135 would be alright for you! I own the '05 Absolute 141 and I love it! I rode the 135 @ first but it was to small for me. I weight about 180!!!! Great board and I didn't think the Plat was worth the extra $100. Good luck

Gee, i was looking at www.boardco.com. Sure enough, the Plat is gone. I'm thinking now however that Brandon is right, I'll probably go for the 135.

I suppose I should get new binding too. I've got entry level LF Flite bindings that are beat up. What is a decent binding that is easy to get in. I have a really small deck on the back of my boat. Are the CWB grip bindings any good? The NICE 13 look cool, but I would image they would have to fit perfect (like snow boots). It looks like boardco also has torq and mobe.

AGAIN THANKS FOR THE REPLIES!!!!

From Liquid Force, I'd recommend the Fish 129 (maybe the 125 if you want to go as short as possible) if you're looking for a big straight up pop. The Subjekt and Substance also have excellent vertical pop, but the Fish gives a little extra boost. Are you looking for a quick board with a hard edge hold, or a laid back loose feel all-around, or something in-between?

Mike Dick
See Dick Ride Wakeboards
www.seedickride.com
(701)682-5515
mike@seedickrid e.com

Try holding your edge more aggressively on the way up the wake. If you're doing that well then consider another board.

I'm stoked... I ordered my board. I decided to go with the 2005 135 Absolute (w/Boss bindings) from BoardCo. For those on the CapeFear river in NC, lookout 8-) Thanks for the Advice!

Dan I have one left in the 05 Absolute 135, and 141 for 299.99 as well. if you are interested shot me a email. Brand new still in the wrapper.

Good work Dan, you will be stoked on your ride. I rode the 2005 Absolute all last year until very recently when I got the new 2006. I weigh 150 and also ride the 135. You'll definately dig the Boss' too they are sweet. I have a friend just like you, wanted more pop and is used to less than perfect wakes. He got the Absolute and is improving rapidly every day, he is so stoked on the board!
