It seems to be a super flexible finless board a lot like a snowboard. Is it comparable to a Roam? Are they fun to ride? Worth $100?

its the covenant... pretty much Ronix's answer to hyperlites Roam. basically just a board to dink around on and press... $100 is cheap and ive heard they are fun....

Never rode a Covenant, but I have ridden the first two generations of the Roam. They are great to have around. There is nothing like a butter session on one. Some people use them for slider boards too.

If it's anything like the Roam, it's well-worth your $100. Can't beat that style of board for all around fun when the water's smooth...

Its very similar to the roam. The flex and feel is the same but the board is a little narrower making it easier to hold an edge. Definitely worth $100

Thanks for the info guys, I've always wanted to try that type of board. Can't go wrong for $100.

Hey, The covenant is super fun, and is very much like the roam. Its a little lighter witch is a good thing and it is well worth the $100.

chikara22 06-26-2009 6:13 PM

well worth the $100 and really helps you dial in the right technique for edging as you have to stay on edge with this thing. It is really fun to ride at the end of the day when the water is calm and you don't have the energy to jump anymore=soul session, if you will. also, great board for cable, sliders and rails

Where can I pick one of these up?

Also, the "8 1 206" is actually "8-12-06"

Which was either the day they launched, or their go wakeboarding day. I know it's their go wakeboarding day, but I have no idea about the first.
