Way to go Brodie!!! I like seeing the paycheck in hand!!

Congrats on another great event, from what I heard. It looks like everyone had a great time.

bbr 04-29-2007 2:04 PM

What boat did they use for the towboat?

DRA 04-29-2007 3:13 PM

Supra 22SSV was the tow boat for Intermediate and up. We used the gravity games III bags and an additional 800 LB of lead. The lower classes were towed by the Moomba LSV with stock ballast.

walt 04-29-2007 3:43 PM

Congrats guys !

big_ed_x2 04-29-2007 4:30 PM

how the hell did Tony get 3rd place, did he have a bad set?

I seen him ride on the CWB demo day behind the 236 and I'm still thinking about his run!

I seen a bunch of good rider ride in my wake boarding time but Tony that day blew me away. From what I hear,he doesn't have bad sets,he rides like that all the time!

kikitlo 04-29-2007 4:49 PM

Looks like you guys chose a great day for the event. The weather was perfect.

hawk7 04-29-2007 5:44 PM

hey wheres this goin down? the delta near antioch? whens the next one? is it all sliders or are there just straight up behind the boat events too?

tmobe 04-29-2007 5:53 PM

SWEET! Brodie is the man! lol Congrats bro. I guess those extra double up sets on Thurs did the trick.

hawk7 04-29-2007 7:51 PM

what board is that guy holdin in the first pic Stacy/DRA (h20diva) posted?

brick 04-29-2007 7:55 PM

Ed, all of the riders in the second heat through down some big tricks in some pretty poor conditions. I think the other two outlaws deserve some mention. Brady Sammons was leading in points going into the second heat. Unfortunately, he was unable to finish his pass after clipping the wake on a tootsie roll and stressing an already injured ankle. And to Jason Callen, for riding a roam at 27 mph in "crap" and still goin' big.

Trevor, the events are normally held at Union Point, which is located at the end of Victorias at Hwy 4.

brick 04-29-2007 7:56 PM

Trevor, I think you are refering to Brandon. He rides the CWB Marius.

hawk7 04-29-2007 7:57 PM

are there gonna be novice, intermediate, advance, outlaw classes or is it just outlaws?
do you hafta hit sliders, those arent for me...

otherwise how do i sign up?

brick 04-29-2007 8:05 PM

trevor, www.deltariders.com

multiple classes. Sliders are optional and this event was without a slider. Registration at the event.

hawk7 04-29-2007 8:06 PM

nevermind, i went to the site, thanks and see you guys there!

ynot 04-29-2007 9:01 PM

great event once again by DRA. huge shout out to Chris Dykmans for killing it in the 2nd heat sticking the 7 for the big win. good job to Brodie as well for having 2 good sets on the day.
Thanks ed, there are alot of good riders on the delta and they all show up for the DRA, so its really anybodys game. i did break my binding last trick on my first pass and just kept going but i dont think i could have had a chance against Chris run.

thanks again DRA and everyone making it possible!

_jason_ 04-29-2007 9:23 PM

Congrats guys and thanks to everyone who came out!

..I'd have to point out the "man of the comp award" goes to BG for saving c-dub! who fell off the balcony into the water.

Thanks everyone once again for coming out and making everything possible, I know the crew enjoyed to see everyone out there in full support!

jarrod 04-30-2007 8:58 AM

SHEEAA!! Two CIE riders on the podium.

Congrats to the three winners.

Was Dykman's 7 HS or TS? Just curious...I know the HS 7 is a new addition to his already huge bag.

guido 04-30-2007 9:32 AM

Congrats, guys..... Nice work. The conditions we're definitely not optimal by the end of the day.

brick 04-30-2007 9:56 AM

Jarod, TS7, but he also threw a whirly, moby dick, and I believe a tootsie roll, to name a few.

load 04-30-2007 10:34 AM

Another Great event, the Outlaws were great! Nice to see such a great turnout of riders and fans.

See everyone at Spring Ride!

buffalow 04-30-2007 2:27 PM

Another AWESOME day. I am so stoked to be involved with DRA and finally have some mad representation on the Delta.

Rode with Dykmans and Cook yesterday in the windfest. Dykmans is killing it. 7's both way, back mobe and just about every trick he knows without falling. He is back on track, now if anybody can give him a part time job or pay him to wakeboard, he could quit that stupid full time job that is running my summer!

richd 04-30-2007 5:20 PM

Yes! what Buff says . . .

He's too young to get swallowed up by corporate America. (why did we make him get that degree!)

Damn priorities!

Wakeboard dad's, act now, don't let the dream pass you by!

lmasterson 04-30-2007 6:33 PM

As always DRA threw yet another awesome event..congrats to everyone...all the volunteers did and excellent job as well....can't wait for the next one....

richd 04-30-2007 7:28 PM

Sorry, forgot to thank Gary and rest of the DRA, it really started off right like it ended last year, with a great turnout and lot's of fun.

DRA 05-01-2007 7:54 AM

I have to say that this year is going to really show why the Delta is so famous for style and good times on the water. DRA is striving to bring the best events to the Delta and I can say that it is only a great event because of all the help from the numerous volunteers that help out all day long. I cannot thank them enough. The quality of the riding in my opinion is at an all time high and only getting better. My thanks to everyone who came out to watch and especially to the talent riding in the event, you are the reason DRA is alive and growing.
Just to thank our sponsors again: Supra/Moomba, Delta Sport Boats, Liquid Trends, CWB, CIE, Neptune Audio, Nice Racks, Buywake.com, Ultimate Watersports (livermore), Fusion, Delta Wakeboard Camp, West Coast Camps, Cire, Nor Cal Mastercraft.

wakedad33 05-01-2007 8:09 AM

kel_dub 05-01-2007 11:15 PM

The event was killer, I'll be there next time for sure!

socalwakepunk 05-02-2007 6:45 AM

DRA peeps - Is there an old guy division? If so, what age qualifies? Just curious, would like to make a CL roadtrip up to one of your events sometime, like to know if I would be riding with other senior citizens, such as myself, or if I was gonna get my 40 year old ass handed to me by a 9 year old...

bbr 05-02-2007 7:00 AM

I'm with Tackleberry, might have to make a road trip.

Charley, pics look good to me.

Callen- sorry for not getting to you sooner, been real busy. Not going to make it to Spring Ride, gotta work. We need to ride one of these days. Hit me up soon.

brick 05-02-2007 8:46 AM

TackleBerry, no old man division. Kind of funny though. I was getting ready to take my run when one of the kids looks at me and says, "Man, how old are you?" I never felt older until that moment! Anyways, come on up and show these kids how to ride.
