what amp?

I currently have pro80's & a precision power p600.2. It claims 190w x 2 but it also says 100w x 2 at 12volts. I want to add a pair of wetsounds mb8's & was considering getting another p600.2 but am thinking maybe a bigger amp for the pro 80's & use the p600.2 for the MB8s. What budget amp would be a good choice or ist he p600.2 a good choice??

The PPI p900.4 claims 300x2 at 12v and is under $200. That should be a good match for pro80s.

I was looking at that as well but the pro80s say 200w rms?

They are underrated. From what I've read, 200w is the minimum. There are some posts in this thread by Tim White about powering pro80s. You will be fine pushing 300W to each of them.

Thanks, I went ahead & ordered the p400.2 & MB8's. Hope it is all I want come summer cause after ballast I'm broke :(

Hopefully it will work out for you, but they are going to be underpowered.

You just got done telling me the p900.4 is plenty, now it's not? Even wetsounds said that is a good amp for the pro80's & to use the one I have for the MB8's

EDIT, I said the wrong amp above, it is the p900.4, not the p400.2

You should be good then. That is what I would have done. p900.4 on the pro80s and the p600.2 on the mb8s
