OK, I'm landing the BR more consistently now. But I keep coming up a bit short and i'm not getting the height I really want.

Any helpful hints?

http://s34.photobucket.com/albums/d146/bmelchner/?action=view&current=Picture166.flv

You are flattening out and throwing it a little bit early. Really think about sitting back against the line and building that line tension all the way through the top of the wake. Work on your progress edge and holding it throughout your cut. Good luck!

yeah bro just cut harder, and as shaun murray would tell ya try and touch your chin to your lead shoulder

you can also drop you back hand behind you mid spin to slow down your rotation so u dont over rotate and slip out

could be cutting to fast to quick. take a more progressive edge, when you edge that hard too early you will naturaly come off edge at the wake. you want maximum edge at the wake not 8 feet before. looks pretty good other than that.

Thanks for all the feedback. Haven't been out again to try everything.

gdog - I understand what your saying about coming off edge before the wake. I'm always confused about that part. Whenever I try to edge through the wake, I get little to no air. Any thoughts? I've been trying to straight leg it to get the pop.

When you start your edge to the wake- look behind where you think you'll cross the wake. I think it forces you to edge right at the wake - almost away from the boat- that will give you HUGE pop. Don't start so far out either- when I start that far out I ALWAYS come off edge.
dont flip it until both of your binding go through the wake

Use a progressive edge into the wake. Don't let off the cut, the key to super big back rolls is to snap a super hard cut at the top of the wake. Leave your legs straight out. I use this technique if I'm cutting in from 3 feet or 20 feet. It gives you a super big pop.

Thanks for the help guys..

Tried to hit one this weekend after two days of drinking in the sun... bad idea!

I came up short, caught an edge and got slammed! Right foot came out of the binding, Left foot didn't come out of the binding, but it did rip the binding off the board! Holy S! Tore the board up, garbage!

I would like to see the board, or the video if you got it.
