That video makes so much more sense now. I always wondered how u just drive a Bugatti into a lake. But if ur gonna pay me 2.2 mill were going swimming haha

Yes it makes even more sense why he left the car running while it was in the water. After thinking about it maybe an argument that the car running helped water not enter the exhaust pipes and turbochargers . But I'm pretty sure putting a car like that into a saltwater lagoon would Be very corrosive and damaging. He paid 1.1 million for the car but it was insured for 2.2 so he would've made a clean $1 million

probably would have gotten away with it too if that video had not surfaced.

That video is pretty damning if you ask me.

I was just on that feeder road last sat....when I drove past that spot I was wondering what ever happened with that. I knew he was having charges pressed....took a while.

More money than brains. No shocker here. At least he has less money now.

"probably would have gotten away with it too if it hadn't been for you meddling kids!"

I'm glad they went after this guy and got a conviction. And I'm sure this is not this guys First Ever insurance fraud. A guy that try's a 1.4 million dollar insurance fraud scam I'm sure has done this type of thing in the past. I hope they look into his past "transactions" and see if they all pass the test!

It's my experience that these types of guys have been pulling scams in one form or another for years and it takes a slip up like this to bring down their whole house of cards. Remember the Scammer from Germany that crashed his Enzo on the PCH in so cal. He was racing his buddy in a SLR Benz and broke the Enzo in 1/2 when he wrapped it around a telephone pole and it caused a investigation that showed what a scammer he and his wife was.
