Hey guys, I am looking for input on a new board. I am looking for great pop(not unpredictable), smooth landings, and not too slippery. I won't be doing inverts, at least not on purpose, and a few spins on occasion( depending on Gin consumption) I'm 5'7" 185lbs, intermediate-ish rider. Have ridden the Byerly Monarch with CT watsons...had a blast. Rode 133 LF Fish with Sphynx...also fun. Slingshot Response with the jewels....way too slippery. Then there's my Motive....OK finless but no pop. Any input would be great. Thanks a bunch!

Dave

i would check out some of the Ronix boards. some specific models you should look into are the frontier and mana boards.

both have great pop and are very predictable.

I would agree with the Ronix Frontier 1. Very predictable and consistant, at least for me at 5'9" 210, I have it in the 142cm

The new murray (08 or 09) board i think would be a good option. murray specifically had it designed to retain the predictability of acontinuous rocker but the extra pop of a 3-stage, it is the ONE TRUE "hybrid" rocker style board out there really

and if you liked the flex of the slingshot but wish there was more grip than maybe a new SINE board or the LF ennen would work well

Another deck you may want to look at is the Transcend from CWB. One of the boards features that you might like is the fin extensions. It allows you to modify the grip/release of the molded fins without adding a full size fin. The board has all the riding features that you mentioned, great pop etc etc. Definitely a good deck for what you are looking for. Compared to the Murray mentioned above, it will pop a little harder, land a bit softer but be just a touch slower.

Liquid Force Witness for sure. Not slippery and has the MOST consistent rockerline. Very good pop. Performance watersports best seller
