My fat sacs seem to get pretty slimey and gross inside of them. Its time to put them away for the winter. Any suggestions of how to clean them out and get them completely dry for winter storage? thanks!

maybe some water and bleach then a good washing

I don't drink the water right out of the fat sacks so,I don't do anything about the slime.

I wouldn't put bleach in them as you might not get it all out and it could leak onto the carpet in the spring. Consider using a wet dry shop vac to get all the water out. I know there is a liquid additive you can buy at waterbed stores to keep the slime down.

"I know there is a liquid additive you can buy at waterbed stores to keep the slime down"....

vinegar and water.

couple croutons

Those are all good idea's. I think I will wash them out with a bleach water solution (very dilute), then rinse well with fresh water, then use the shop vac to suck all the extra water out, then hang them out to finish drying before storage. Thanks for the help!

I do not think you will have a problem if they are stored without the caps/ plugs in. I have never had a problem in 5 years but then again mine are full of salt.
