wal-mart

NOT at walmart, they don't carry them.
livebaitlarry.com has them cheap.

^^^ Was in wal-mart last nite....mine had them.

They used to only carry the 500's. They were actually tsunami pumps.

I checked my local Walmart...nothing.
Psyclone-thanks for the link. I'll check them out.

Walmart carries Attwood aerator pumps, not Rule pumps. Tsunami pumps are attwoods

We re-did our ballast and are using a Rule4000 ... 4000 gallons per hour, its amazing.
The whole ballast system ~2000lbs fills in like 3 min..... and it was only $115 shipped.

Nick, how did you plumb your system using this pump? Right now I'm running a couple jabsco ballast puppies and I need to replace one but they are so dang expensive! If I could use a rule4000 in my system I would be stoked. Any info would be great.

Just run the water in to the pump .... then from the pump it T's ... 1 part to the front, 1 part to the v-drive sacs.

the V-drve T's again to the back sides, the front T's again to the bow and ski locker. Each has its own little valve to fill/empty only certain parts. The only issue was getting the outles of the rule4000 (3") down to the size for the bags (1") .... we just had to use some PVC 3->2 then another 2->1

Then to empty we just have two tsunami pumps for old.... they go fast enough with gravity on their side.

All i can find on the rule4000 is they are bildge pumps, how did you adapt them to be aerator style? Or am I looking in the wrong place?

sidekicknicholas 04-01-2009 12:55 PM

They make both types... I'll try to find where we got ours.

I saw the rule 2000 listed under high flow aerator pumps. did not see the 4000....

duffymahoney 04-01-2009 1:32 PM

I looked over their website and all I can find is the 2000. Which looks really promising.

ok so, I want to use 3-4 aerator style pumps. I was worried about priming but realized I have one impeller pump which came with my boat. I came up with the attached to be able to prime the aerator array with the impeller pump. Anyone have any thoughts? I will obviously have a ball valve on the through hull.

(Message edited by w00taz on April 01, 2009)
