"How is it possible" that on a lake with at least 25 comp boats, 10 day cruisers, way too many water massqitos(jet skis) and 5 cigeret boats that I am the one to hit some slightly submerged something!!! Now I don't wish it upon anyone else, just seems to be my f-up luck. This makes "two"<img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/clipart/angry.gif" border=0>props already this season. How often do others take out their props? Is this just me???

its just a run of bad luck. in 06 i went thru 4 props. since then i've been lucky (knock on wood).

Ive been super lucky, only one prop in 4 years. I wasn;t the one who was driving when it happened. It was this chick named Laine who was so HOT I couldn't get mad at her. Just looking at her in that Bikini driving was worth the 550 I had to spend to get a new one.<img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/clipart/biggrin.gif" border=0>

That sucks man. <BR> <BR>To be honest...we haven't hit anything with a prop in like...as long as I can remember. A long time. <BR> <BR>We just have good luck I guess? <BR> <BR>We've hit some pretty large pieces of wood (even a log about 2 feet in diameter), but never had any real damage..and never hit the prop.

I went through 2 props in one house boat trip 2 summers ago.

chpthril 04-27-2008 6:04 PM

That sux dude. <BR> <BR>Knock on wood, I haven't killed a prop since our first boat, about 99 or 2000.

watson_134_lf 04-27-2008 7:05 PM

that sucks man.. <BR>i just slammed the boat with 15 hundred pounds, and our lake is an average of 5 to 10 feet deep, so the prop is in the shop right now. <BR>as bad as it sounds, i have to say it made me laugh to see the tips of the prop completely curled into circles

If you go to Shasta in the spring, bring a spare <img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/clipart/sad.gif" border=0> I've taken out 6 props in 10 years &amp; 4 have been at Shasta.

supraride 04-27-2008 7:23 PM

Randy, We will be there over the 4th of july. Where were you at in shasta to ding 4 props. let me know , that sounds bad.

wakedad33 04-27-2008 7:35 PM

Tony, July should be fine, in early spring a lot of logs are floating that you can't see. I was talking to a guy who has a cabin on Shasta and he said the water level is down 60 feet, the 4th should be good but Aug. will be hurting for water.

i destoryed 7 props last year. lets just say my parents didn't know about them all. lucky for me i know how to order all the parts and just pay the cost cuz of the their dealership. it was still pretty damn pricey.

Thanks Randy, I appreciate your help.
