Our X-Star wake is definintely mediocre at best.

Ha, ha, ha.

Incidently Tony rides for Epic. He may be a bit biased. FWIW: There are a ton of people on here that have affiliations with various boat companies. Does it bias their opinion? Of course it does. Should you listen to any of us? Maybe, but you should also develop your own opinion. At the end of the day there are a ton of great wakes out there. It really depends what you want our of your experience. The Epic is a cool boat. The Axis is a very cool boat for the money. The SAN's are a classic and sweet. They will always hold their value. The X-star sucks-----a ton of fuel, but has a kick-A$$ wake.

I've ridden so many great boats over the years. I can honestly say my favorite wake is a X-star. That's not to say that it'd be my first choice to purchase, but the wake it KILLER.

Also, keep in mind that you'll need to get a few rides behind a boat before developing your opinion. Make sure it's weighted right. The first time I rode behind a X-star I hated it. It's a very differently shaped wake. If you ride a older 210 SAN, then jump to a Star you likely wont like it. Same could be said in reverse.

fred.. I have a 2008 supra 22 ssv and we slam it with 4000 pounds and with the wake plate you can get the wake to fit your style. While I like a bit stepper wake than most I set it where I like it and when others ride I can ajust it... Make sure you have the right prop for what ever boat you get, it can be a key part to the shape.. Good luck .......

I'm gonna ride behind a ssv this summer and I expect a lot from this boat because I always heard good things about it! Plus, I found some nice used Supra not so expensive! Supra is a good option for me!

Does anybody has pics of wakes like Tomcat, Tige, 230, Axis, Lsv, etc? Show your wake!!!

guido 05-24-2010 10:23 AM

22 ssv is a great wake. They can be a bit sensitive to moving weight around, but a very fun wake. I found it really similar to a X1 wake, which is one of my favorites.

I don't have any great pics of the Axis wake but here is a pic from this weekend of my buddy getting booted off of our Axis. Around 23-24mph, about 400 lbs in each locker (stock tanks plus pnp 1/3 full), wedge down, center tank full, front pnp 3/4 full, 5 peeps. The wake is pretty easy to set up... and flexible for many different riding abilities.
