Light closed toe bindings?

Was thinking of upgrading my 08 OT Watsons, but looking for something significantly lighter, does it really matter? My new board, SS Response ended up the same wt. as my Watson 142.

waketowake 08-21-2010 7:59 PM

ronix ones, love them. super light.

k9fxr 08-21-2010 8:41 PM

What year?

azwakeYO 08-21-2010 10:16 PM

I had the company vandalls on my 09 response and it was a nice weight. I had CT 09 watsons and it was a pretty light then too.

lseghatch 08-22-2010 2:16 AM

My SS D2's are pretty light

cwb4me 08-22-2010 2:34 AM

ronix relics 09 or 10 are very light and lf ultras are very light 08-10.

andrewjet 08-22-2010 2:40 AM

hawkeye7708 08-22-2010 6:24 AM

Ronix. Hands down. Lightest boots around.

ClutchIndustries 08-22-2010 7:12 AM

Wakeology Matrix. Board and binding combo weights in at 12.2 pounds!

ache_for_wake 08-22-2010 10:53 AM

BigTEX 08-22-2010 5:12 PM

Im surprised no one has mentioned cwb's 2010 bindings

cwb4me 08-22-2010 5:43 PM

^^^ i have the 2010 cwb answers and i love them but a friend of mine has the relics and they are lighter. he also has a ibex board which is also very light. i was just stating above the lightest bindings i've seen.

stang_killa_ss 08-22-2010 6:22 PM

sidekicknicholas 08-23-2010 9:26 AM

Ronix One boots
and
Slingshot PB Floyds -- the lightest two I've ever been in.

guido 08-23-2010 10:16 AM

Actually.... as far as I know the CWB boots are the lightest on the market right now.

BigTEX 08-23-2010 11:31 AM

Cwb aa's are ridiculously light along with the marius

jarrod 08-23-2010 11:54 AM

CWB Answers are probably as light as they come for a full height, pro model, closed toe.

bbr 08-23-2010 12:01 PM

^^^^^^^^^ What he said. ^^^^^^^^^^

andrewjet 08-23-2010 12:07 PM

Yes, but the one's are still #ONE!

bmartin 08-23-2010 12:13 PM

SS PBs are light but think we need a ' scale off ' to settle this!

andrewjet 08-23-2010 12:32 PM

WOW! I just went and weighed my Ibex and ones. 12 LBS!! Bathroom scale, not real accurate. I knew they were light but wow! My old Parks board felt liked it weighed 28 lbs, lol.

good idea Ross.

behindtheboat 08-23-2010 12:40 PM

SS bindings are super light, when they're dry......

stoked_32 08-23-2010 1:05 PM

Ronix one's. They come in foot sizes, not small medium large. Although I'd wait to see the 2011 stuff. And yea Robot, in the last couple years boots in general have become ridiculously light. I dunno if it matters, but it definately doesnt hurt.

Thanks! Everyone should weigh their setups. MTN Bike scales and Fishing scales work great. Numbers don't lie and are alot more accurate than 30 people saying their setup is super light, without proof it's like the equivalent of asking if a board pops hard :-) I second the scale off! Make sure to include hardware, no cheating :-)

k9fxr 08-23-2010 1:56 PM

Great Idea, but just the bindings, lets keep the boards out, or in another thread

dhv142 08-24-2010 9:52 AM

+1 for Ronix, the lightest and most comfortable boots around!

lseghatch 08-24-2010 10:16 AM

I found the relics to be very uncomfortable

bmartin 08-24-2010 10:52 AM

Put some SS D2s on the bathroom scale last night and got 6lbs for both bindings after two weighings but can't really trust the scale for light weight stuff. Anyone at a boardshop have a scale handy?

skyler_25 08-24-2010 12:24 PM

The CWB Answer's! there extremly light! supportive and once they break in the super flexy for a closed toe! Can't go wrong with them!

kyle_L 08-24-2010 1:43 PM

ronix relik reflectos, I think they come in at 1.9 pounds. My setup is very very light

08-25-2010 7:00 AM

Ross what WO board do you have...I have the new Matrix's like you on my new 2010 STOKE.... SUPER LIGHT!!! I will get it weighted maybe and throw a pic...

You need to look at WAKEOLOGY guys...seriously great equipment!!

ClutchIndustries 08-25-2010 7:22 AM
