decided to get my dad a great birthday present, or at least pay for 1/3 of it since its from my mom sister and me (but i'm the only one who paid up!)... anyways

my dads really excited and has been messing with it and was already talking about using it for dirtbiking and all the fun stuff we hurt ourselves doing (ex. wakeboarding, motocross ect.)...

first off- we can find the shots, but as we're moving the camera around, we can't see what we're looking at on the screen, how can we do this? i've looked at the directions but didn't see much

2- are there any tricks with this camera to know when you press it your going to get that "moment" you want especially when we're wakeboarding and dirtbiking... the only thing i've noticed is in the lense a red dot will show

any other tips would be wonderful!!!

Brett,
I have an Evolt 500 and I really like it. I have not looked through the manual to see how to get the screen to display as you are talking about, but I'm pretty sure that you can. As far as getting the shot in the moment I make sure that the camera in in the sport mode "burst mode", so that it will take the 2.5-3 shots per second. I keep the focus in auto, but make sure that you have the button half way down to ensure that you are already focused or there will be some lag time as it focus'.
