What prop are you guys running. Can the boat handle a 4 blade? I was told that it could only handle a 3 blade. Seems like we should be able to reprop it with a 4 to get more weight in
You can certainly run a four blade but you would be wasting your money. CNC three blade will stay right with any four blade. Pitch and cup are more important than number of blades.
Hmmm. Well there is roughly 1800 in water weight and another 500 in lead. Then with 5 adults it was super sluggish getting up. Just seems like you should be able to add more weight to it than that. Anyone have a recommendation on what prop is the best

Probably the Acme 911 with that much weight.
how do you weight your boat Sparky
Jason,

I have a 4 blade on my 210.. not sure the pitch and size but its a powerhouse out of the whole with 9 people in the boat and front ballast full.. I can look at it this weekend if you would like..
I run the Acme 911 and it is perfect for the amount of weight we run. We have ran up to 2500 and it still shoots out of the hole.
I had a 4 blade on my Sanger. If I recall it was a 13X13 when I got the boat and I changed that up for a 13X12. It was a stump puller.
I went from a 4 blade stock OJ to 3 blade Acme 911 I believe. Got it from Karl at Boarditup.com. Lost a bit of top end speed but it will pull your arms off sacked out.

Acme 525 3 blade is the bomb. The boat will sink before not planing. From memory it is 13x11.5 0.8 cup.

Wake must have been nice with that poundage in it.

(Message edited by ralph on June 25, 2009)

Just looked up my order and I bought the 525 that Darren suggests. Sweet prop for the V210.
Darren, what's your top end, no ballast with that prop on your Sanger?
Probably 43 or so. I always fill the center ballast and have 400lbs of pop products bags and hit around 41-42 when I want to.
Yup same as Ryan 43-44, but mine porposes pretty good above 37-38 with the fixed weight I run. Not for long tho.....
At 23mph weighted we pull around 3100-3200 I think. Really good on gas.
Surfing is around 2200-2300rpms too which doesn't suck the fuel too bad.
911, perfect name for it!
Jason, not near as heavy as you do. With custom rear bags and stock front, plus 250 in lead under front cushions, probably around 1200lbs, not including people and gear. I went with the Acme 653 three blade which is good to around 1800lbs so I have room to add more weight at a later point. Stock was the 515 Acme three blade. And if I need to drive at higher speeds to get somewhere, I just dump the rears and leave the front and she never bounces.

ACME 525 here on my '03 V210. Never an issue out of the hole and averages about 4gal/hr of gas. Running approx 1,200lbs before gear and riders, so probably not as much as some, but works for me. Definitely noticed the difference where it counted when I switched from the stock.
I have the 911 on my V210. I run 1300#-2000# before riders and gear. Usually have 4 people in the boat. I wakeboard only. Great for riding. At 3000 RPM...we are at 22-22.5 mph. The PPass works very well with this combo. Speed control is super super steady...never varies more than .5 mph. Hole shot is super solid. I just barely roll the throttle on...and rider pops up.

The most I have ever had in the boat was 7 people...one huge ass ice chest, + full ballast. Total ballast and people = 3000#. I honestly did not notice a difference in the hole shot....

The only down side is top speed is limited unless you really wind the motor out...which I don't like to do. The top speed I feel comfortable running is about 35 mph. I have had it as high as 38...but I just don't like winding the motor out like that.

With 2300# and 5 riders...I think you should go 911

The four blade works great for me and I run heavy at 1800 elevation. It still has great top end too.
