07 Ford Expedition EL VIN questions
 

Am heading to check out this truck and it says t jas tow package. However I trust a dealer less than my 2yr old. Most dealers just think because it has a hitch its a tow package.



If I remember there is a code in the VIN that will let me know if it has the transcooler, what gear ratio meaning it has an actual tow package. Anybody know what that is or how I can verify the trans cooler is there?

Usually they're in front of the radiator and AC condenser. It will look like a baby radiator and have lines that lead back to the transmission. Also, there's usually a tag on the rear differential that will say what the gear ratio is.

The axle code is on the driver door. Ifiy has the seven round wire connection and four flat it has the heavy duty trailer tow.

Send me the vin I will run it for you if you would like.

Use the above link but replace everything after the equal sign with the VIN number... it should say on the original window sticker.

Thanks for the replies guys. The dealer was actually very accommodating. Threw it up on the rack for me no problem and had everything I needed.
