Although I think a wakeboarder would win a fight. I just think it's much harder to trick ski than to wakeboard, so if you are going to suck at one you might as well suck at trick skiing. Right AJ?

I love getting air and trying different things on skies. And, last week I had a mishap.
I did a front flip and fell out of my skies. (accidently, I just started to cut and a wake hit me and I couldn't correct). The next thing I know my back hits the water.
I just wish I could of seen it from the observer's point of view.

Finally, some trick skiers on the board. I'm guessing my brother, a trick skier, could win a lot of fights over wakeboarders though!

There are still a few of us hiding out here! We're a little out-numbered these days though!
B
LOL, that's kind of funny. I never noticed but I'm pretty sure I had my shorts on. Those pictures are from the late 70's.

fly135 07-19-2004 7:39 AM

Actually I just remembered about that picture. I used to trick ski in a Speedo! Gawd, that's a horrible thought. But remember that was the 70's when people used to Disco to the Bee Gees.

Anyone know where I can get a good trick bag for a reasonable price... D3 makes a nice one but its pretty expensive at $75... Anyone have one for sale?

kstateskier 07-28-2004 9:56 PM

Wet Tech or Masterline
tacosupreme 07-29-2004 7:59 AM

Does anyone have or know anybody who has a used trick ski(s) for sale?

bbeach 07-29-2004 11:28 AM

There are a few on Ebay. Right now there's a really nice Connelly HC Trick for sale. I think the current bid is about $255... Also you will see them on SkiitAgain.com sometimes.

you can do spread eagles & helicopters on trick ski's. wakeboarders can't so it has its advantages and disadvantages as well as a variety of different tricks.

Got my first pair of Trick Skis on Friday. It was a weekend of falls. With a lot of course time this summer my slalom is improving quite well and I thought since I've got good balance on that thing it may help with my trick. Nope. But it's great fun. How fast does everybody go?

bbeach 08-09-2004 11:52 AM

about 17 mph...

08-10-2004 6:58 AM

I trick about 20 mph but I am a fat basturd.

kstateskier 08-10-2004 11:55 AM

18.5

09-17-2004 4:09 PM

17.5 unless I'm behind the new mastercrafts. Then I usually bump it up to 18 or 18.1. The new mastercrafts just have too soft of a trick table. With Nautique completely sacrificing any trick wake for slalom skiing, Malibu's the only real trick boat left.

By the way, get the D3 trick bag. Awesome bag, plenty of space for all your gear. Holds up real well. My only complaint is that the zipper is starting to show some wear from being in salt water 24/7. Still works perfectly though, much more than I can say on the zippers on my wakeboard bag or slalom ski bag. $75 is stiff, but its still cheaper than anything else out there. If you have a D3 dealer around you, see if they'll order you one. They might even cut you a deal. I know mine sold me mine for $50 plus they covered the shipping costs since it was delivered with their standard order.

Hey you can't post those links, this website is PG! Sorry bad joke it was the 70's i guess. But really, nice trick ski action. I didn't know people still rode those...my dad has an old pair, maybe i'll give em a go next summer.
