I am looking at ordering a new X2. <BR>I am just wondering how everyone is finding the wake behind it? Is it good enough with the stock ballast or will I have to budget for more weight? <BR>Also how is the sufing wave behind it? I tend to be doing more surfing these days than wakeboarding. <BR>Thanks. <BR>Oh and if you know can you get it though your 7ft garage door?

Sometimes I forget and look in front of the boat.<img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/clipart/biggrin.gif" border=0> <BR>Actually the wake is nice, rampy and smooth landings and you tend to use a little bit longer rope.

The X2 was a very anticipated boat for me. It would be my boat if the wake was nearly as good as the X1. <BR>But, I am replacing a boat, not simply getting a boat -- a replacement boat has got to be great to get me to pull the trigger.

From what I have been reading on here, is that you need more weight, and then you have the issue of getting on plane. Do a search or look back a few weeks, it was discussed. I did want the X2 before I got the Xstar, and now that I have it, I’m glad that I have the Xstar. I have heard that the X15 has a great surf wake. There is an X 15 up on Ebay right now, good price, I do not know the guy. If I was looking for a boat I would take a hard look at this boat for the price.

The problem is that I can't get a boat much longer that the X2 because of garage space. <BR>I have been hearing that you need to load it down. I too am replacing a boat so I want to make sure that I am going to get what I want out of a new one to justify spending the cash. I have garage space issues so that a X15 (measured at this years boat show) will not fit there for a Xstar is out of the question for me. <BR>Anyone have any suggestions as to a boat that will surf/wakeboard well and still fit into 21.5 ft of garage space and still go through a 7 ft tall door? <BR>Oh ya thanks for letting me know to look behind me for the location of the wake.<img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/clipart/lol.gif" border=0>

I'd be very suprised if it will fit through a 7ft garage door. I'd look into that first. I don't know of many boats that will these days and the MC's sit pretty high on the trailer. <BR> <BR>I really like the X2's. I was hoping that the wake would be great. It'd be a no-brainer for me to pick one up if that was the case. I've really yet to play with the wake to see if I can get it to my liking, however I've heard reviews all over the spectrum. We ended up with an X-star instead and have loved every moment of it. <BR> <BR>I'd say to take the boat out for a demo. You wont be disappointed in the quality of the boat. I'd also be willing to be that you could get a great wake out of it with a little tweaking. IMO there are very few boats out there that have a worthy wake from the factory.

Incidently.... I hear the surf wake is outstanding. Better than the X-star and easily surfable (is that a word?) on both sides of the wake.

I have heard from a MC dealer the X2 will fit a 7ft door on a tandem MC trailer, just barely, might depend on your driveway, too. Tandem MC trailer has 14" rims, single has 15" rims.....

i have a friend who get's a new x2 every year and he has had to put low profile wheels and tires on the trailer to allow it to fit in a 7ft garage.

I rode behind an '06 X2 for the first time last week. The surf wake with a little ballast (maybe 500 lbs.) was solid.

I had to put an 8' door in for my X2 now the X1 so I doubt that the X2 will fit.

I put a 8' door on my house for a 04x2 now the x1. I doubt a x2 will fit without taking the tower all the way off.

I have a 06 x2 and the wake is great add 400lbs and it's even better

I have an 05 X2 and it fits in my 7 ft door.......

I've got the 07 X2 and I love it!!!!!! <BR>Perfect size for me. Easily towable, launching and putting it on the trailer only took a few trips out to learn. <BR>This whole this wakes better than that one in my opinion only matters if you're really killing it. Guys (and girls) go wake to wake, backrolls, 360's etc behind my boat. <BR>We surfed behind it last weekend for the first time. Wake was between hips and knees and if you do a constant slow turn its up to your hip. It was everyones first time trying and everyone let go of the rope (me the shortest distance maybe 30-40 yards) <BR>Gas isnt that bad I can ride all day Sat and Sun with one tank. <BR>I only have stock ballast. I personally never use it I suck (just started a few months ago) and I can smak the other stupid wake at 20mph at about 70 feet of rope on a roam board. My solid boat crew bud, Jon, goes wake to wake with no ballast. <BR>Hope that helps

I have ridden behind the 06+ x2 twice and today was my second. I am not the greatest rider but I would weight it down more than factory to get more lip out of the wake. It's a pretty wide wake, in fact I was having trouble clearing it toeside which I don't have a problem doing in my boat. As for shape it is more rampy than an x1 wake and really easy to hit

already quite a few reviews, a lot of which i have written - use the search function. <BR> <BR>terrific wake but also terrific multipurpose boat. fun just to drive around on open water i think. yes surf wake excellent - better than any other boat i have surfed. Yes it needs more than just factory ballast, but so do most boats imo. Get the fly high add on package, toss another 600 in the floor and go have fun.
