Audio Question for the Guru's

Ok guys, I have a pile of audio equipment in my shop... Here is what im thinking...
I have 2 pro-485 tower speakers(with earmark blue rings), 4 pair of wetsounds xs-650 (with blue leds)
I have 2 jl 10w7 subs also the ws-420 with factory kicker head unit

for amps I went with all the stackable jl mhd series, 3x 600/4 and 2x 750/1

Before I start installing I want to get your opinions, will the 2x 10s be enough to cover the wetsounts highs? Should I port thew boxes? I have access to 2 more MHD 750/1 amps and 2 more 10w7s if needed.. or should I put a 750/1 on the pro-485?

I have 5 Batterys, perco switch, 2 40 amp dual bank onboard charger...

Please let me know what you guys have seen or heard...

This is going in an 07 Supra SSV24

Thats gonna be a bad ass system to be sure. I prefer sealed enclosures for their punch but thats just preference, either way you go will be good you'll just need some healthy space for a ported enclosure and two should be plenty of bass. The JL 750/1 is a full range amp with high pass so it would be a great choice to use with the 485's and would push them hard.

it should be .. i have 2 10's in the boat i'm giveing my ex in our devorce, and hits very hard. it's running a 3000 watt ample 1500 rms. i'm look at new boats and all ready thinking of the system. i'm going back to 10's because i like the sound of them

I want to clairify, I really was wanting to use a 600/4 for the pair of pro 485s,and the other 2 600/4 for the 4 pair of 6.5s would that be enough power? unless i absolutley had to use the 2 750/1 i was saving them for my Rhino project.. Thanks again

Matt,

The 600/4 will do 300 x2 at 4 ohms which is matched RMS on the 485 and will give good power and output. However the 485 can take a lot more. The 750/1 will do 750 at 2 ohms. So splitting the power to the two 485's for 375 each.

As for the subs, the two 10W7 will get it done for sure. But i would build the slot loaded boxes per the JL site. Ported for sure. Only issue is using the single 750/1 split between both will only net 375 per woofer so a little low IMHO. So that leaves you needing both 750's

So what might work best overall in using what you have. one 750/1 per woofer. 600/4 on 485 pr, 600/4 on 4 pr of XS-650 and extra 600/4 for your rhino

I would run it that way and see what you think, i bet you will be blown away.

Make sure to send some pics to me when you get it done

[QUOTE=wetsounds1;1559572]Matt,

\ Do you think the MHD 750/1 @ 2ohms would make that much of a difference? If so I will definatly go that route.. 75 more watts per side does not seem like that much...

I will get you some pics as soon as we wheel it out of the shop... Also when I finish the Rhino Also... Going WS in there also,,,
