What wheels would you choose for your trailer?

Style
Material
Finish
Size
Width

I was thinking of going with 15" X 8" Weld Super Singles. Maybe 16". Don't want to go with to big of wheel because the tire side wall get's to small.

Any idea's?

Travis Farber
Wake Me Products
www.Wake-Me.com

Go with the biggest size you feel comfortable with. I have 15 inch on my trailer and love the look much better then how a 14 looked. What ever you get, make sure its not a raw aluminum, other wise you will have to polish then often. I owuld think you should go with a style similar to your yukon.

I like the way you think Phaeton! I have seen some 16's and they really stand out. They were in chrome and they matched the guys Range Rover wheels he had on. Also have a buddy who has Weld 15's on his Mastercraft and it matches the wheels on his lifted Suburban. It is definitely a nice touch and will turn heads.

I wouldn't go any bigger than 16, and would probably stay at 15 just to be safe. There always seems to be that nasty corner in a parking lot where you have to go over a curb.

Phaeton,If you could get a set that matched the Yukon that would look sweet in 15 or 16 inch. if not these look good too there Weld Scorpio V. On another note I have a question for you I am looking at tower speakers, what do you think of the Boss B 70 and have you heard anythink about the Mako MBQ 65 they both use the same MB Quart 6.5 inch speakers.

(Message edited by tcaton on March 13, 2003)

The MB Quart speaker they are using is a on the lower line side for MB. Still a great speaker though. As long as you line the inside of the canisters with a sound deadening material they both should work fine. I would talk with Ryan at Ryno gear www.rynogear.com though. His look really nice and come lined with Dynamat I believe.

Travis Farber
Wake Me Products
www.Wake-Me.com
I'll bet that an 8 would stick out of your fender. A 7 would be better. Just go with 17's!

Does that raise our overall height? my collapsed tower clears our garage door by about 1/4" as it is. Thought I was going to deflate the tires some to get it in at 7'-2".

soonerboarder 03-15-2003 9:10 AM

You just need to get tires that are the same height. It doesn't really matter what size your wheel is. In your case, I'd stick with 15", though, because you'd have to get really short 16 or 17" ones. That wouldn't be good. I had some room, so it didn't matter.
