I am looking for a lense that goes from 18-28 to 100-200 so say like a 28-105

I was looking at the one that jeremy ambrister got but i think its too much for my budget. It sounds like you need two ? A wide and a zoom.

I don't remember what Jeremy bought ? Was it the Canon 70-200L ? If so that's nice glass and worth every penny.

I just took a quick look at the prices at Ritz and I'm not impressed.
Try http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=product.jsp&A=getpage&Q=RootPage.js p And you might find a better deal.

Unfortunately I have the 18-55 too and it's a POS ! I'm hoping to replace it soon with the 17-40L

I do have the Canon 28-105 f3.5-4.5 and I love the lens. I took advice from the MANY people that said invest in a good lens, but really I kind of skimped on the 28-105. I spent $590 on the 70-200 f4 and spent $230 on the 28-105. I would spend the extra $80 and get the Canon but I really can't say cause I don't know that other lens.

Here's a pic I took yesterday with the 28-105. Straight from the camera, only resized and compressed.

Here's a couple pics I took today with the 28-105.

How about the sigma 18-200?

I have the 28-105 and love it. I got it for 190 overnight on the fred miranda buy/sell forums. be sure to check there regularly when looking for new gear.
-Chris(RUSSIAN)

also forgot to mention that I got the hood for that price

The 28-135 IS is extremely popular and the IS comes in very handy. I had one and the IQ isn't too bad.
