Get Ready! Hi-Def is going to take over soon. I'm just waiting to see who is going to produce the first HD wakeboarding video. <BR> <BR>It seemed like this year the theme was Realtime HD workflow. Everyone from the best (Avid), to the good (Final Cut Pro), to the ugly (Media 100) reveiled their new HD software and hardware.

Can you digitize straight out of any of the current Panasonic HD cameras over firewire with FCP yet or they adding that to future models? If that low end JVC handled motion &amp; color better I'd think about it.

Im not sure about the FCP/firewire question. <BR> <BR>I found out that the consumer JVC camera, the hand-held, does NOT sure true HD. Its called HDV format. I saw the image quality compared to true HD, and needless to say, there is no comparing. The quality of if was barely better than SD up-sampled to HD. I would not recommend the camera for anyone serious about HD videography.
