Supra Launch 21V ballast setup?

What's everyone's ballast set up on their Supra? I'm using the stock 400s in the rear and the 650 up frt and its a little steep for me (wicked lip). I'm gonna try and add an additional 400 up frt and try putting wakeplate all the way down. How do u guys have urs setup?

My buddy has an '07 with the stock 750's in each locker and 1000 in center. When we max it out we put a 1000 triangle in the bow, a 400 on top of the walkway seat and a 400 on the ground against the back seat. The wake tends to be pretty steep so we adjust for that with the trim. The boat is very sensitive to weight placement though and depending on how many people are in the boat we sometimes have to take a little water out of the back 400 sack or the locker sacks. When we don't want the wake that big, we fill up the triangle sack about half way and put just 1 400 sack against the back seat.

Cole hit the nail on the head. I have an 08 21v and usually fill the back 400's, def need to uprgrade your center sack to 1,000lb then usually put 2-400's up front and about 6-7 people in the back. You basically could put a car up front before you could get enough weight!

Here some pics I dug up. I'm 6'1" and we were riding at 75ft about 24.5 with the boat maxed out as I described above. Sorry for the quality they are frames from video footage.

Little too much of a lip it looks like. Id actually take some weight out of the back maybe 600's rather than 750's and do away with extra sack behind the triangle. Probably get the same wake and not so steep. Def looks big though!!

Here is a pic of my 21v a couple years ago, this is with full gravity games ballast (1150 front sac, 800 in back), plus another 500 on top of that and a few peeps in the boat.

Jeff I really like ur wake. In the 2k9 21v there is no way to put a 1000 lbs in the center. I'm probably gonna leave the 650 in the center and just add a full 1000 lbs bow bag. So that will end up with 800 total in the rear and 1650 in the frt.

jeff when you said "plus another 500 on top of that" where did that weight go?

I think when that picture was taken we had a fat buddy like 250ish lbs in front of the rear seat, then 2 lead tractor weights 120ish each under the passenger seat to level some things out.....now we are only running stock ballast plus the 2 tractor weights......mainly because when we go to the INT tourney's theres always a poorly weighted boat so it makes it not so big of a gap jumping from a rockin wake to a boat with low #'s for stock ballast...

Cole, got any profile pics of that 07? looks like the black one I am looking at..

Kyle, I totally agree, to be honest that was a problem, but we do alot of riding behind my tige so it was more or less a test run. We haven't used that setup but maybe 5 times.

Justin, this is the only shot I could come up with, hope it helps. That fine lookin, gold hood ornament doesn't come with any of Supras boats though!

I've just now gotten past the break in period on my 2010 sunsport 21v. Here is the ballast setup I tried today.... I hadn't seen this thread until just now and had already come to the conclusion that I need a little more weight up front.
Back... 2-750's
Ski Locker...400
walkway up front...650
2 people in the boat 80' @25.0 mph, the boat had no problem getting on plane
I'm pretty happy with it the way it is, but I may see if I can put some lead under the front seats.
Thoughts?
