If it's all nice and glassy, i can jump easily from wake to wake, yet as soon as the wind comes up, even a little, my jumps go to ••••!!!
Is it just me or do I need to approach things a bit different. Does having a slight chop on the water effect the wake, maybe making it mushy?

I don't know the answer to this but i have the same problem.

When there's a little chop: 1st try to slow your cut way down... you are probably cutting early and getting a lot of speed, but not loading the line. You can get good pop in fairly rough water if you edge in SLOW. 2nd option that helped me some early on was to slow the boat a little and work on cutting harder to make up for the loss of speed. The slower speed will sink your board a little more during the cut and ensure that it sticks when you cut.

Good luck!
