Hi, I am from switzerland and I would like to buy a wakeboard for my son. I have seen a lesser who sells brand new Krown wakeboards (pictures below attached). Now I have seen that the last published wakeboards from Krown on this site (wakeworld.com) are from 2006. Are there no newer boards available? Does the seller in switzerland sell old boards?
Is there anybody who can help me?
Which board would you prefer for my son (170cm,65kg)?

Kind regards
Jürg Signer

I agree with everyone else in the thread, but if you insist on getting a Krown or are unable to get another brand, get the top one. The green board is one of the later Krowns that likely came from a factory that has put out really lousy product in the past.

Jurg,
I feel obligated to comment as the green board has my name on it. The boards you show were for the 06 season, which was the last year Krown manufactured wakeboards. I prefer the Elite series because the fins are near the outer edge of the board for good control. The boards from 05 were poorly manufactured and many of them broke. I had no problem with any of the 06 boards. At this time you should be able to buy 06 product extremely cheap. So if you end up going this route do not pay full retail.

However if you are able to get new product. I would recommend that you try an O'brien Decade. The board is rock solid and will give you many summers of shred.

Not to add more to the confusion, but check out Gator Boards if you do not go with the Krown..

http://www.gatorboards.com/pages/dealer.php

I have had no problems at all with the two Krown boards I own. I have a Krown Q just like the picture you listed and I also have a Collin Wright Pro Krown board. Both of my Krown models are 2006. They may be a bit older but both of the above mentioned boards are good solid performers. If you can buy either the 06 Q or the Collin Wright Pro new for a discounted price I would not hesitate. I paid $50 bucks USD per board and both of them were brand new still in the original packing on eBay. Others mentioned O'Brien and Gator of which I also own. Gator and O'Brien make great wakeboards and the warranty on their boards is very good. I have a 2007 Gator Legend and it is a very nice rig. I had some minor delamination on an O'Brien Natural board and O'Brien sent a brand new one from the factory, no questions asked. So if warranty is an issue you might be better off with an established company like O'Brien or Gator. However if it is possible to get a great deal on a new 06 Krown like I did, I think that might be hard to pass up.
