Post pics of your garage board racks

I'm going to do some board racks in the garage here soon - post pics of yours and a brief description of the process and what you used.

Thanks!

The best solution I have found is the fold down bike rack. Any HD, Lowes, True Value Menards..........Easy to set up, easy to move and fold out of the way if need be. Price is right as well. IF you have a skate or a Surfboard you can put the surf behind the wakeboard and still mount the board. They have never dropped a board in the 4 yrs I have had em.
Get ya a pic shortly

Bought these at Lowes (ladder rack I think, don't remember), and then bought some pipe insulation to cover them with for padding. This was the first one. I added 3 more after this one. One season, still holding up. I think they were like 5 bucks or so each.
this is the only pic i have. sorry.

Does leaving the boards in the boat count?

I made mine outta 3/4" plywood and 2X4's - they work great! My mounting locations were limited, so it worked out well.

Not a real good picture, but I took some 2"x6", drilled and inserted 1 3/8" closet pole into them.
Cheap, easy and fast.
You can space them apart as you need for different types of boards, or pull the pole out altogether if needed.
(The close up pic was actually taken to show some of the earthquake damage we got last month at the river) :(

Thanks hate, your right, it's 30 feet to the water, and we're not going to let a 7.2 and a few cracks keep us out of it!

Have you ever seen racks like this?

jeff_mn 05-14-2010 8:31 AM

^^ I'm probably just gonna come steal your racks one night and be done with it. I'll just toss all your boards in the Star and dip out.

See you tomorrow.

snowslider76 05-14-2010 8:45 AM

Ha those racks are $2 each I'll give you $4 and save you the hassel.
