Calabria Question

I just recently bought my first boat a 2005 Calabria Pro-V. i am wondering if any of you guys have any advice in weighting the boat for wakesurfing and for boarding.

Any other tips for this boat are greatly appreciated as well as this is my first time owning a boat!

congrats on the new boat you will love it. For wake surfing I fill the stock ballast on the side that you surf on then put a 540# fat sack in the rear locker and another 540# fat sack on the floor next to the side bench. we surf at 10.7mph. I am still playing around the the wakeboading setup. I have tried different setups with the fat sacks the one that I like so far is filling the stock ballast and the filling the 540# fatsack and putting it on the floor along the back seat. I am going out to night just to try different setups for wakeboarding. I have yet to try putting weight in the rear lockers for wakeboarding thats what I plan on trying tonight.

Wakeboarding- Full ballast, play with the trim plate to your liking 21-22.5 mph rope length 65-75 feet
Wakesurfing- Portside, port ballast full, starboard side half full, trim plate all the way up, you will need fatsack by the engine on the port side 500# and all people on the portside. 10.3-10.7 mph you will have to play with the speed. Starboard side surfing, port ballast half full, starboard side ballast full, trim plate all the way up, fatsack beside engine on starboard side, all people on starboard side, 11-11.7 mph. play with the speed

Jarod - Thanks for the tips. I am in the process of ordering some fat sacs so will be playing around with that shortly. Keep me posted on your wakeboarding set up.

Rob - I have the manual wakeplate and no trim tabs unfortunately. I haven't yet tried to adjust it, but may start playing around with it once I get the ballast dialed in.

Appreciate the feedback!

My buddy has a 05' Pro V and runs a 450 in the rear locker, 750 on the port seat, and another 450 on the port side of the floor next to the observers seat and with the stock ballast full it throws a decent wave for sure.
