I have family in MN and visit once every couple of years. Your riding season should be longer here. There are a lot of guys near you that ride. You shouldn't have a problem hooking up.

Andy, c'mon out with us sometime! I live in L.A. too and my crew and I generally hit Lake Castaic, Piru, and Pyramid, all within an hour north of L.A. Most of the time we go weekend mornings (I'd do more weekdays but I'm outta vacation days). Truthfully, we'd love to go w/ somebody better than us...we're all kinda self taught so its been slow learning. My best jumps are w2w about 3-4 feet, i can do some grabs and 180s. Good luck finding a crew to ride with.... try posting on the need a/ be a third forum- there's always people looking for some riding partners...... <BR> <BR>Hey Mike- Nice video- on those backroll attempts, try waiting till you're off the wake, then look HARD over your leading shoulder ..... this should help with the rotation.......

thanks jeff....those were just my 1st three attempts. didn't think i'd even make it halfway since I never tried it before. After watching it the rotation definitely seems slow (didn't throw it hard enough and I think I had the handle too high), plus i didn't get much height on it since I didn't really crouch or edge hard enough on it....guess I was thinking too much about the backroll and not enough on the jump. Hopefully if the water is good when we go out in a week or two I'll try it again.
