New malibu

Just got a 2013 malibu wakesetter 20 vtx and I am wondering if it makes big wakes compared to the other 2013 malibu wakesetters

Your kidding right? Here we go again. Isn't it a little late to worry about that after you bought it?

simplej 03-19-2013 6:21 PM

compared to the other wakesetters? no it wont have as big a wake. its the smallest hull in the line and is an older hull

Alleykat 03-19-2013 6:25 PM

If it is one of the boats with wood in it, it will be the biggest wakes yet.

More like, your a kid right..... he's 15 per his profile.

Taylor, you'll be fine. It's certainly not the best wake in the line up. Unless you are riding the tour, it's not going to hold you back.

Give the kid a break. Taylor, the wake will not be the biggest but will certainly be good and help you improve wakeboarding. Have fun with it in the summer.

Maybe he knows G23 James. He was 15 and in the market to buy his very own G23. After boosting some 8 foot airs with JD Webb!!

Love the VTX. Great wakeboard wake, great surf wake, and does that "skiing" stuff pretty good as well. :D You will love it.

Throw some weight in it and you'll be pleasantly surprised. It's not as wide as say the LSV, but it has a very poppy good sized wake for a 20' boat. The surf wave is also awesome for it's size. I run between 2000 and 3000lbs in it depending on how many people and what we want to do.

I ride Chris's VTX all the time and the wake isn't going to hold you back any. Like he said throw some extra weight in it and the wake gets really nice.

One of the better pics from the wake of an '07 VTX I ride behind. What's yours look like behind the '13 VTX? Surf-gate equipped?

Congrats, great boat! The VTX is my favorite bu since I still do everything including skiing. It is always easier to make a bigger wake than it is to make a smaller wake. I doubt the VTX wake has ever held anybody back.

Malibu makes a great boat! I'm sure you will enjoy it.
