I got her a 07 Hyperlite Syn a few years ago and she is not progressing to well on it. She seems to thing the snake skin like cover is soaking up water and weighing the board down.

She is 6' 150lbs and can case the wake most of the time. She rode years ago and could go wake to wake. We ride be a 1984 SN2001 weighted so the wake is just right!

Ladies what all do you ride and what do you like about the board?

Thanks a lot!

I currently ride the 08 138 LF Melissa but about to change to the 2010 136 Ronix Faith Hope set up.

Good Luck!

I ride a Byerly Monarch, and love the perfect balance between how loose it can ride (when you want it to) and how firm it holds the edge! What size board is she riding now? At that height, I'd think she would need a 135 to 138. The Syn comes in 132 & 137. Also, if she doesn't like how the Syn rides, maybe she was on a continuous rocker board previously and is struggling with the 3 stage. I'd say demo - demo - demo, if at all possible.

We are not in an area to Demo at all. She rides the 137. She doesnt remember what board she rode before.

I'd suggest she give the ronix coy a try. I don't ride one, but I tried a friend's, and it was the most user-friendly board I've ever ridden. i could land all my tricks more easily than usual.
it sounds like your gf could do with something predictable like that...

Hi Raymond,
If she's not liking the Syn (this is what I've been riding for the past 2 seasons), I'd suggest the Hyperlite Blur. It rides awesome and has the 3-stage rocker which might let her figure out and control her pop a bit better. It comes in a 136 and has SICK graphics. Since she's 6' and 150 she may get a better pop off of a bigger board. If she wants to go up a size the Hyperlite Premier is the same shape in a men's deck and 141 size. The graphic is pretty sweet on that one too.
Good luck!
