Who has had this and how long til you were able to be back wake boarding?

I had my surgery in May, I now have full range of motion but still working on strength.

What does your Dr say? I wouldn't do anything contrary to what he says. You don't want to do anything that sets you back further.

Its a military doctor so I don't want to go there.

My phy thp is done come 14 July, then its on me to continue to rebuild my strength back.

If you had a operation and they did some stapling and/or screws I would think you might want to wait 8-11 weeks before you risk any impacts to it. When they fixed my shoulder by reattaching a ligament I think they had me wait 11 weeks before I could play ice hockey again. But again what does your Dr say? If you go against what he says you may end up injuring yourself and having to do the operation again.

no staples, no screw just a resection of the clavicle. and I did ask and he said he doesn't know, he's not familiar enough with the sport.

What's up Kenny?! What does resection mean? I'm to lazy to google.

I broke mine clean snowboarding years ago. Full separation. If thats a resection, I would wait until you can Shoulder Press some weight (40-60-80 lbs?), bench somewhere close to your body weight, be able to do 50 pushups without stopping, and probably do a full clean and jerk with some weight....all without sharp pain. Water is more forgiving when falling forward than snow, but things like slapping the wake when you land, and random quick-twitch jerks hurt me for a while, like on past 6 months. Was a full 10 before I had the balls to throw weight around. Just my .02cents.

I'm not Doctor, but I did stay at a Residence Inn last nite.

I broke my clavicle on the very end of the bone. They didn't se it on x-rays, they said 2 months of phy thp for a muscle strain. Finally they got tired of my bitchen sent me to a civialian and the first thing they did was an MRI, and found not only the break but now bone spurs.

Well to make it short 6 months later I got the surgery which is a 2 inch incision on my right shoulder right over the boney part that feels like a mini horn. they took off a full inch of the end of the clavicle bone to remove the break and sstop the impingement. No screws or plates, no ligament damage just removal of bone. Its more painful in the very begining than a rotator cuff but heals much faster.
