Ok I believe i am a good enough water skier to compete but ive never been in a compitition before and to qualify it says i have to have this "Male : Slalom 6 @ 13m @ 58k " what does that mean?

Have you run the course before? What is your best pass? What that is saying, is that to qualify you need to be able run a full pass (6 buoys) with a 13 meter rope (32 off) at 36 mph. If you've never competed before this tourny might be a rough place to start.

Man, what tournament is that? That's a pretty good score for a seasoned tournament skier, let alone someone just starting. The best place to start tournament slalom skiing is the INT League. They have so many divisions you compete against people with your skill level.

ok thanks for the information. that may be one ill pass on. what numbers should there be for a beginner tournament

Beginner tournaments shouldn't have minimum ratings to ski in... Take Nick's advice and go enter an INT... Not only will you get 2 chances at a pass but its a lot more laid back. And you can enter a division based on your skill level... Whereas AWSA tournaments (which is what your original tournament sounds like it is puts you in a division based on your age...)

o ok thanks for clearing that up
