were about to buy our second wakesurfer of the season. i'm 6' 160lbs and my buddy is 6'1'' 210lbs.
we cant seem to get a big wake due to shallow water.
which board would be the better choice? we just want to cruse with no rope, big turns and airs. suggestions?

I think you could not go wrong with either really. But at 160 and 210 I would go with the blue.

How shallow is your lake? I boat in a lake that is about 9 to 11 feet average. We are able to throw a pretty great wave. Not as big as deeper water but plenty big enough for me at 250#'s. What boat are you riding?

I'd go with the Blue.

There's a guy in another recent post "what board should I buy" that has a Blue Lake and wants to get rid of it for something smaller. You should hit him up.

x-15, water is around 6' to 9' and we always have chop. didnt see the posts and got the woody today, thanks anyways.
|
Adam.... that is really shallow water. I don't think I could get a decent enough wave in that depth of water to push me. Where are you located? Please let us know how you like the Woody!
|
Red Woody is a great board. Bought one this summer and for me, a big guy at 250#, its fast and fun.

T

how big is your wake trevor?
|
My hubby is 215 and rides a blue lake in 8.5 feet of water behind and X 15 with factory ballast and 4 people...no rope is no problem with that board.
|
Adam - Here are a few shots. 07 Avy and I am 6.2 250# for size comparison.

T

Trevor your giving me hope! our wake is around that size, and your as big as our biggest rider.
no more buyers remorse, as soon as we get riding i'll post some pics, hopefully it will be here by next weekend.
|
Adam - good luck, it is a good board. I doubt you'll be sorry. I can slide the board fairly easily too.

I think in those photos we only had 1100# of water and 4 adults and a few kids. The wave could be bigger if needed.

T
