I've had it for 2 years now, but some days the wake is huge and some days I don't know what the deal is. I know it makes a big difference with the amount of people in it, but just wondering what most people are loading it up with. I have two 600's in the back a 400 in the center and two 250's in the front. I've been adding another 400 to the bow and it's made a good difference, but just seeing what most people are doing to it.

Weight it big Ed Style, 1200 front 800 rear. You could do worse... <BR> <BR><a href="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/1/455355.html?1180589022" target="_blank">http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/1/455355.html?1180589022</a>

About 1000 in the rear. About 980 in the front. Plus passengers and gear.

Big Ed or some of the CIE guys are the guys to ask. JRod's wake looked sweet, never rod it, just drove. These guy know that boat inside and out <BR> <BR>I think 60/40 rear/front is a good starting point in just about any boat, especially in that boat

For this hull you want the weight more balanced front to back than others. Try 50/50 or even 60/40 front to back. As I have been told, you should not bury the platform, and run enough up front. <BR> <BR>Here's my post from about a week ago regarding the same hull: <BR><a href="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/3183/453394.html" target="_blank">http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/3183/453394.html</a>

FWIW, I've been running 800# in the rear, stock ski locker sac, and about 700#+ in the bow . . . and I still feel like I need more weight in the bow . . . possibly 250# more or so, is my guess. <BR> <BR>My ballast in the bow consists of an integrated bow sac, under the seats, and two 250# side sacs. What I want to do is replace the two side sacs with one V-drive sac (in the walkway), and then add about 300# lead. Can any of you pass along how much weight you get from a V-drive sac, in the walkway? How close to the 400# do you get? Thanks, and sorry for the hi-jack <img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/clipart/happy.gif" border=0>

i used to put two 550's in the back, a 550 in the nose, 300 in the walkway and possibly another 300 on the back seat depending if we had people or not plus ballast...it was a BIG wake

Thanks for hitting me back. I play around with it all the time due to I never have the same amount of people in it. One day I put an extra 500 in the back with 500 + 4 people in the bow and couldn't get it to plain with balls to the walls. I think I have a bit too much with the 600's in the back to begin with. It's what it came with when I bought it. I think I just need to stock the bow with a bigger bag than I have from what you guys have told me. It gets big but I see those videos and always think I can get it bigger. Just want to max it out because my boys with the superairs complain and it's a kick to the balls. I have to make these wake whores realize.

So do you guys count the ski locker as bow weight in the 50/50 ratio? I've been messing around with my set-up, and can't help but think that I need a little more in the bow. I have two 400's in the back (only filled to "comfortably" full, so like 700#'s total), 350 in the locker, and roughly 400 in the integrated bow sac. Seem a little back heavy to you guys? The wake is kicking to be sure, but I get the feeling it would be a little cleaner and firmer with more up front. Unfortunately, lead isn't an option, and I'd like to keep all the ballast hidden.

You should always do about 60/40 rear to front. That was the best ratio I ever found. If you have the stock ballast then just throw a 500 lbs. sac over the locker inbetween the windows, then add people and it will be huge. real sluggish but once you get planed it is really good and rampy.

rwb 06-01-2007 9:45 AM

Hey Vaaler, is your integrated sac under the bow seats? If so, I've found that only 200# or so fits. I would guess that your setup would be a little rear heavy. My opinion with the 205V hull is that you should, at least, have as much weight in the bow, as you do the rear . . . excluding the ski locker sac. Just my opinion, though.

jcv 06-01-2007 5:43 PM

Barrett, it definitely fills over half way (not comfortably), so I'd guess anywhere from 300-400 of the 750 lbs. capacity. I figure we're still pretty back heavy, but it's still a really good, poppy wake. Thank god I didn't allow myself to get talked into buying the 750 fat sacs for the rear. We're going to add a sac in the aisle and see how we like it over the weekend.

Have had mine set up with 500 on each side of the engine, custom locker sac about 400 and about 400 in the nose with speed around 23mph. Nice clean and crisp all the way back to 80ft. <BR> <BR> <BR>AS to the Big Ed style....Nice to see that you need all that weight to kick wake to wake jumps.....Not sure why people throw 1000's of pounds of weight in their boat to do simple wake to wake jumps, most not even being able to go toeside, too many people put way too much weight in their boat to compensate for lack of skill, but hey I aint payin for the gas
