is this a deal?

Not sure but I remember having to put a lot of weight up front of that boat to get the wake good and clean.

that'd be a good enough deal for me. I just bought one with higher hours but the larger motor for a little less.

Why 2007? Didn't they have the same hull as 2000-2006
Why not get something cheaper if it has the same hull?

Thats one incredibly awesome boat. I love that interior layout of the 220.

We owned a 2006 220 from 07 to 09 and it is an awesome boat. A lot of people gave it flak for a funky interior layout and side to side wake sensitivity but we loved ours. Talk about a quality boat. We loved the layout as well. That thing puts out a MEAN wake with some added bags. Even with just stock ballast it's an awesome wake. If you are gonna add weight on top of stock you might wanna make sure it has the bigger engine.

Now to answer your question... if the boat is clean and has been well taken care of that is a very solid deal.

That's a solid deal if the boat is clean. If it is clean and has some tower speakers, Bimini, heater and an upgraded engine it's a steal. I am keeping my eye out for an 06 as I surf and ride goofy. So the reverse prop rotation up to 06 is ideal for me.

not sure it is a good deal. i got my 2008 210 team last year for $41k, it had 600 hours though. so now a good deal on it would be maybe high $30's. That is a 2007 so i would say like $35 tops.

I have seen 230's in the 30 range so I would say this is a mediocre deal at best.

Not trying to start a war and no offense but, I think Erik and Scott are both smokin crack. That is unless they're talking about mega high hour POS boats that are beat. SAN 230 for 30K? Please.... Show me 2-3 links to classified adds to back that up. CJ, 40K is very fair. Anything below that and you'll be stealing it. Good luck.

I can tell you there has never been a 230/236 anywhere close to being in the 30s on OIB.

That seems like a good price and I agree there are no 230's being sold in the $30s! You will be super hard pressed to find a non salt 230 for even in the 50's...

I agree that's a good deal. I just sold a 08 230 with every option and 160hrs for 72k.

Congrats man! Im the original owner of my 07 SAN 220, and ive got a solid 800 hours of experience tampering with my wake. It's true, it can be finicky, but when set up right it's rock hard and super poppy. Heres what ive found gets me the best wake out of that boat...

First thing, make sure you're running the ACME 1235 prop. Fill up your factory ballast system full, fill an integrated nose sac under the bow seats, and tube sac in the ski locker at all times. From there, if you have 6-11 people riding in the boat while you're riding, you're all set... you may need one or two in the bow depending on how many. And using your center seat turned around for spectators, get the heaviest people sitting on that. If you roll with 5 or less, clear your floor space and fill a big fat sac in the center of the floor. I use a fly high 1100 lbs jumbo sac, which fits flush, just takes a little while to fill up. The key with this boat is mid and bow weight with less stern wake. It also performs best when your weight is centered from side to side. I find that it helps the wake clean up better after the rider cuts out. And of course, the lower you get the weight the better. By that I mean, make sure you're utilzing the tube sac and nose sac and other sub floor storage space for weight before you go adding extra weight above the floor. Use the hydrogate lever forward only to plane out, once planed out always have it pulled back. Typically with these settings I've got the pp set at 23.7 - 24 mph using a 78 ft line. If you want to ride slower, just shorten your line a bit and lighten it up.
