Have a '03 22ssv with the rad a cage tower. The oem board racks are wearing out big time. Any recommendations for aftermarked board racks?

My Supra dealer has told me that I can trade in my '05 racks for a newer design for $100. Talk to your dealer or try to talk to someone from Rosewell (The company that makes the racks). Hope that helps.

Kyle, I added a set of Lucky Devil racks to my 03, they are really solid, and not too expensive.

Cejay
The $100.00 dollar up grade is for the swivel only not the whole rack. Did the 03 even come with the swivel racks?

Fluid Concepts. I had a pair on my 99 launch and loved them.

There is a company called AMP'D that is coming out with a swivel board rack hopefully before summer that you can replace your roswell knuckles. Its truly awsome. The proto-type is done and I have to get permission first before I can post pic's. The first complete swivel and rack are going to be tested in the next month and I can't wait to show them off.

I used Malibu Illusion mounts to replace racks.. I just took out the knuckles on my 03 supra rad a cage tower, measured hole placements, drilled, and mounted illusion racks to it.. Works perfect!!!!

Thanks,

Ken Land
Bullet Lines
www.bulletlines.com

(Message edited by bulletlines on April 01, 2008)

I took mine off and had them powder coated to match my boat. The previous owner of our boat left it on a lift in the elements and the board racks and speaker cans pitted really bad. It cost me $125 to do everything. It would have been $40-50 if I would have choose a standard black but wanted it to match the boat.

Robert, did you have them powder coated loaclly or ship them off? did you haev to do any prep work before you took them in or just pull them off and ship/drop them at the shop?

I had them powder coated locally. I sanded all the parts somewhat smooth to remove the majority of the pitting. I also had to disassemble the swivel portion of the board racks and remove the speakers and wiring from the speaker cans. I also removed the rubber inserts from the board racks. That was the part I was worried about, but I just rolled my thumb over the inserts and they rolled right out. I used some automotive krazy glue to glue them back in.

Check out Nice Racks. One of the most solid and cleanest racks made.
